GameStop shuts down Ireland stores

Ad by Google

Though it’s a US retailing giant, GameStop only exists in two places in theUK; online and, oddly enough, through stores in Nothern Ireland.

That was until this week, as the company has closed down all of its outletsin the area, The Gaming Liberty reports. Staff werereportedly informed of the closure last Sunday and then customers yesterdayfound stores closed down with posters advertising the company’s website.

The company is expected to issue a full statement soon, though customerswith pre-orders have reportedly been told that any such order will be honoredonline.

Could this sweep of closures be the sign of things to come for otherretailers like GAME?
